Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, our guide and driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to the city center. After checking in at your hotel, you’ll have free time to relax or explore at your own pace. Overnight stay in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: HCMC Tour – Cu Chi Tunnel

Morning departure for the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels – an extraordinary testament to Vietnamese ingenuity and resilience. Here, you’ll explore the intricate underground network and discover the ingenious traps and survival tactics devised during times of war.

Upon arrival, a brief introduction will provide context before you descend into a specially enlarged and tourist-safe section of the tunnels. As you make your way through, you’ll gain deeper insight into the harsh living conditions and relentless determination of the Viet Cong—whether tending to the wounded, storing supplies, or planning strategic attacks on nearby Saigon.

After the tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

In the afternoon, continue your journey with a discovery of the city’s iconic landmarks. Admire the colonial elegance of the Central Post Office, the neo-Romanesque Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the historical Reunification Palace. Wrap up your day at the bustling Ben Thanh Market, a haven for souvenir hunters and local goods.

Day 3: HCMC – Mekong Delta – HCMC (Breakfast, Lunch)

Activities: Discover the charm of the Mekong Delta with two scenic boat rides, a local workshop visit, and a village cycling tour before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, depart for Ben Tre, a tranquil province in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, board a traditional long-tail boat to cruise along peaceful rivers and winding estuaries, surrounded by lush vegetation.

Disembark to visit a local brick kiln and see how coconut is transformed into candy, snacks, and everyday products. Continue on foot through fruit orchards and rice fields before enjoying a bike or rickshaw ride through a riverside village, where lunch will be served.

In the afternoon, take a final boat ride through narrow coconut-shaded canals before returning by bus to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 4: HCMC – Hanoi (Flight)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and spend the morning at your leisure until it’s time for your flight.

At the appointed time, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi City Tour – Sapa

Depart early in the morning for an authentic local experience, starting with a visit to Ngoc Ha Market – a bustling spot that comes alive at dawn with the sights, sounds, and aromas of daily Hanoian life.

Make a brief stop at Lake B-52, where the wreckage of an American bomber emerges hauntingly from the water. Enjoy a refreshing glass of local fruit juice as you learn about this poignant reminder of the war.

Continue with a leisurely stroll through Hanoi’s charming alleys, revealing a vibrant, hidden world of local life. The walk culminates at the revered Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an important symbol of Vietnamese history and national pride.

Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, rich with centuries-old architecture and Confucian heritage.

Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, delve deeper into Vietnam’s cultural tapestry at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, where fascinating indoor and outdoor exhibits showcase the lifestyles of the country’s 54 ethnic groups. On the way back, pause at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest in Hanoi, beautifully located on the banks of West Lake.

Day 6: Sapa

Upon arrival at Lao Cai railway station, you will be welcomed and transferred to Sapa.

From there, continue to a local family home nestled in the mountains for an authentic homestay experience. Enjoy a hearty breakfast on arrival, followed by free time to relax, explore the surroundings, or chat with your host family.

At lunchtime, you’ll have the chance to join the family in preparing a home-cooked meal, offering a glimpse into the culinary traditions of the region.

In the afternoon, set off on a guided hike through terraced rice fields and mountain landscapes, with stunning views at every turn. Along the way, immerse yourself in the daily life of ethnic minority communities.

Return to the guesthouse in the early evening for a warm and lively night with your host family—share stories, raise a toast, and enjoy the cozy, communal atmosphere of mountain hospitality.

Day 7: Sapa – Hanoi

Rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the mountains, accompanied by a peaceful breakfast in the fresh highland air.

Afterwards, embark on a morning trek through remote mountain trails, far from the usual tourist paths, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views and glimpses of local life.

After lunch, transfer to the base of Mount Fansipan, where you’ll take the scenic train and cable car ride up to the summit of Vietnam’s highest peak, often referred to as the “Roof of Indochina.” Enjoy panoramic views that stretch across the valleys and cloud-capped ridges.

Return to Sapa town for a leisurely walk and a farewell dinner at the cozy and locally loved Red Dao Restaurant.

In the evening, transfer to the station for your overnight journey back to Hanoi by sleeper train or night bus.

Day 8: Hanoi – Halong (Overnight on boat)

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning and enjoy a local breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Then, depart by car for the world-famous Halong Bay.

Upon arrival at the harbor, transfer to your cruise boat, where your journey through this UNESCO World Heritage Site begins. As the boat glides gently across the emerald waters, a delicious lunch is served on board. Admire the surreal beauty of towering limestone karsts, scattered like sculptures rising dramatically from the sea.

In the afternoon, the boat will drop anchor for your first excursions or activities—this may include kayaking, swimming, or visiting hidden caves, depending on your selected cruise.

Return to the boat to relax—perhaps with a cocktail on the sundeck or a soothing onboard massage—as the junk sails to its mooring point for the night.

Dinner is served under the stars, followed by a peaceful night on the bay, lulled by the gentle sound of the waves.

Day 9: Halong – Hanoi

Start your morning with a serene Tai Chi session on the sundeck, surrounded by the calm beauty of Halong Bay at dawn.

Upon disembarkation at the Halong pier, you will be transferred by shuttle back to Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi Departure – Tour Ends

At the scheduled time, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
