Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Day 2: Hanoi – Lao Cai

From there, make a brief stop at Lake B52, where the wreckage of an American B-52 bomber lies partly submerged—a haunting relic from the Vietnam War. Continue on foot through the charming back alleys of Hanoi, revealing a more intimate side of the city rarely seen by tourists. Your stroll will take you to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, one of Vietnam’s most sacred landmarks, followed by a visit to the Temple of Literature, the country’s first university and a serene symbol of Vietnamese culture.

Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in the afternoon. Here, you’ll gain insight into the lives of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minorities, with fascinating exhibits and life-size replicas of traditional dwellings in the outdoor garden.

In the evening, return to the homestay and experience the warmth of mountain hospitality. Dine with your host family, share toasts of rice wine, and enjoy a night of cultural exchange and connection in the heart of northern Vietnam.

Day 4: Sapa – Hanoi

Early rise to appreciate the beauty of the sunrise while having breakfast. It’s time to set off again for a trek in the mountains far from the tourists until lunch. In the afternoon, Departure to take the train that leads to the cable car to wait for the highest peak in Vietnam, Mount Fansipan . Back in the city for a walk to go to the Red Dao restaurant before the transfer to Lao Cai station and the return by night train to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh

Arriving early in the morning at Hanoi train station, you’ll be greeted and taken for breakfast at a local restaurant, before beginning the journey southward to Ninh Binh, often referred to as “the Halong Bay on land.”

Your first stop is at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Here, you’ll dive into the country’s early dynastic history, exploring ancient temples nestled among limestone hills—offering a quiet, contemplative atmosphere amidst stunning surroundings.

Afterwards, transfer to your charming countryside guesthouse to check in and enjoy a leisurely lunch featuring regional specialties.

In the afternoon, hop on a bicycle and ride through peaceful rural paths to reach Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its spectacular karst scenery. Here, you’ll board a traditional sampan boat for a three-hour journey through a maze of emerald waterways, passing beneath low-hanging caves and between towering limestone peaks.

After your river adventure, return to the guesthouse to relax in your room or by the pool, soaking in the serene atmosphere of the countryside. Enjoy dinner and a restful night at the homestay, surrounded by nature.

Day 6: Ninh Binh

After breakfast, set out on a short drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s oldest national park and one of the country’s leading centers for wildlife conservation.

Begin your visit at the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, where you’ll meet rare langurs, gibbons, and monkeys being rehabilitated for return to the wild. Then, continue to the Turtle Conservation Center, which houses dozens of endangered native species and plays a vital role in protecting Vietnam’s biodiversity.

Next, head deeper into the park to explore the Cave of Prehistoric Man, an archaeological site that offers insight into Vietnam’s ancient human history.

In the afternoon, visit the impressive Bear Sanctuary, operated by an international wildlife protection organization. Day 7: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the pier in Halong, where your journey into the natural wonder of Lan Ha Bay begins. Board a traditional-style cruise boat, where a warm welcome awaits from the crew.

As the boat sets sail, lunch is served on board, allowing you to dine while admiring the majestic landscape that slowly unfolds—towering karst peaks rising from emerald waters, quiet fishing villages, and untouched islets dotting the bay.

In the early afternoon, the boat will anchor in a calm area for activities such as kayaking, swimming, or visiting a floating village—depending on the cruise itinerary selected. This is your chance to truly immerse yourself in the peaceful rhythm of the bay.

Return to the boat to relax with a cocktail on the sundeck or a soothing onboard massage, as the junk gently glides toward its anchorage for the night.

In the evening, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner served on board, followed by a quiet night in your private cabin—lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping of the waves under a sky full of stars.

Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Danang

Wake up early to the peaceful sounds of the bay and begin your day with an optional Tai Chi session on the deck, as the sun rises over the limestone peaks—a serene and energizing start to the morning.

After breakfast, your cruise continues with a few more activities depending on the route—such as visiting a hidden cave or enjoying a final swim. Mid-morning, the boat begins its gentle return to the harbor.

As you sail back, enjoy a relaxing brunch on board, taking in the final views of Lan Ha Bay before disembarking at Halong port.

From there, a private transfer will take you back to Hanoi, where you’ll be brought directly to the airport for your domestic flight to Danang, in Central Vietnam.

Upon arrival in Danang, you’ll be greeted by your local guide, and head into the city for dinner at a local restaurant. Afterwards, check in at your hotel and settle in for a restful night.

Day 9: Danang

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and prepare for a day of highland adventure as you head to Ba Na Hills, one of Central Vietnam’s most iconic attractions.

Upon arrival at the entrance, board the world-renowned cable car system that ascends through clouds and mountains, offering stunning views of the surrounding forested slopes. At the summit, walk across the famous Golden Bridge, a jaw-dropping architectural wonder held aloft by two giant stone hands—one of the most photographed sites in Vietnam.

Spend the rest of the day exploring Ba Na’s French Village, with its charming European-inspired architecture, flower gardens, and entertainment zones. You’ll have free time to enjoy lunch within the park and take part in any activities that appeal to you.

Around 5:00 p.m., meet your driver at the base station for the return journey to the city. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel, where you can unwind before enjoying dinner and a restful night.

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An

After breakfast, depart for a journey back in time with a visit to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the spiritual heart of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Nestled in a lush valley surrounded by mountains, My Son is known for its mystical light, ancient brick temples, and sacred atmosphere. Your guide will walk you through the site’s remarkable history, architecture, and cultural significance.

Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll sample authentic dishes from Central Vietnam.

Arriving early allows you to experience the site in its most atmospheric light, with morning mist drifting through centuries-old ruins. As you walk among the weathered towers and temples, your guide will bring to life the history, symbolism, and architecture of this sacred place.

Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free at your leisure to explore or relax. In the evening, regroup for dinner at a local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay at your hotel in the heart of the city.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, depart for an eye-opening excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, located just outside the city. This vast underground network—once used by Viet Cong soldiers during the wars—is a powerful testament to Vietnamese resilience and ingenuity. Explore the narrow tunnels, learn about the hidden trapdoors and booby traps, and hear fascinating stories of life underground.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch at a local restaurant, before beginning a guided afternoon tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be

Depart for the Mekong Delta and arrive at Cai Be. Transfer by boat to your riverside lodge. After check-in and lunch, cycle to Tan Phong Island to visit traditional craft workshops and taste local fruits. Enjoy a short boat ride through the canals, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh

After breakfast, visit the Cai Be floating market, a lively and colorful hub of local trade on the river. Continue to nearby artisan villages to see traditional crafts before returning to the lodge for check-out. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City in the early afternoon. Airport drop-off if needed.
